Cross Cultural Foundation
Cross Cultural Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental foundation. CrCF is impartial and not affiliated to any political party or any particular group.
CrCF aims at promoting cross cultural understanding on issues of protection and promotion of human rights and democracy.
CrCF was registered under Ministry of Culture in Thailand in 2002. Since then it has coordinated several activities in partnership with its working partners such as Lawyer Council of Thailand, Thai Volunteer Services Foundation, Rule of Law and ReconciliationCenter and Working Group on Justice for Peace.
CrCF also works to promote and protect the rights of marginalized groups in Thailand such as ethnic groups, migrant workers, and stateless peoples.
- Promoting respect for cultural and traditional rights of diverse groups and their distinct ways of life.
- Promoting rule of law and enabling marginalized groups and people facing discrimination to access justice.
- Promoting exchange of learning, skills and cooperation among diverse groups.
- Raising awareness about interlinks between cultural, economic, and political issues.
- Promoting studies, research and information dissemination among diverse cultural groups
Cross Cultural Foundation (CrCF) aims at promoting understanding across different cultures. It also works for the promotion and protection of human rights and democracy. CrCF was registered under Ministry of Culture in Thailand in 2002. Since then it has been working closely with its partners such as National Human Rights Commission of Thailand, Lawyer Council of Thailand, Thai Volunteer Services towards facilitating vulnerable groups to access justice through legal aid and test case litigations and promoting understanding amongst diverse groups through studies, research and information dissemination.
Previous / On-going Activities
(1) Facilitating legal trainings in partnerships with Lawyer Council of Thailand, Union for Civil Liberty and other human rights organizations since 2003.
(2) Facilitating a joint project on Rights to Citizenship with Ethic minority, Migrant workers and Stateless Sub-Committee, Lawyer Council of Thailand http://www.statelessperson.com/
(3) Facilitating a Volunteer Lawyers Program in partnership with Thai Volunteer Services Foundation since Jun 2006.
(4) Litigating in court in order to promote access to justice of marginalized groups such as members of ethnic groups, migrant workers and stateless peoples.
(5) Joining campaigns and advocacy activities with civil society organizations, concerned government departments and other related international networks.
(7) Research project and stratrgic litigation on racial discrimination issue and organising the writing of shadow report on ICERD
(8) Facilitating Access to Justice and Legal Protection for Civilians in Southern Thailand
